Countdown Starts Today

Yesterday, our schedule was to go to the dentist and finally reserve the date of our wedding to our chosen church.
And finally, our date: May 11, 2013! (3:00 PM)
And our church: Nuestra Senora De La Soledad

Its located near to our place and near to the main road thus solving my concern about visitors not going to the church since commuting is very easy. It was featured in a commercial for Boysen paint and now its newly painted in all white. The church is well lit and is well ventilated with its open doors on all sides. I asked about the wedding march if they allow secular/non religious music, but they only allow liturgical songs =( , and I slightly panicked. Can you help me guys find one. For the vows, the secretary told us that we can ask that on the interview. I hope we can have our personal vows.

They already gave us the requirements and we have two months to complete them! Phew! Its really the beginning.

Aja!

Even the best fall down sometimes

This is a sad day. Not just for me but for all the Filipinos. Manny Pacquioa lost to Juan Manuel Marquez on their epic battle. If it was a based on decision and he lost, it would be easy, but it was a very hard knock out that lead him down to his face. We all thought he was winning the rounds until the last seconds of Round 6, Manny became too aggressive, over confident and sloppy. Our hero was down. My heart was crushed. I can't watch. Seeing his wife, Jinky wanting to rush to the ring to help her husband was the first time I saw it on a boxing match. If we are all hurting, how much more for his family. We love Manny, win or lose, we will always be greatful how he made the Filipinos proud.

Converse Overload

Yesterday, December 9, I woke up earlier than the usual so that we can go early to the Converse Sale at Marikina. It was way back December 2010 when we went to the Converse Sale at SM Megamall. It was a great shopping experience so we decided to go back but now we headed to the Warehouse sale.

The warehouse is located at #65 General Molina St. Parang, Marikina. We ride a van from Cubao going to Parang,Marikina and told the driver to drop us there. When we reached the gate, we thought it was still closed but to our surprise the other gate was already flooded by shoppers. And it was the beginning of our shoe hunting saga! Boyfriend and I decided to split so we can look around. I was not able to take photos of the long lines at the cashier and very crowded area. Some were like hoarding all the shoes that they can grab and putting them all in a clear plastic bag. It was really an old warehouse with only ceiling fans so expect a lot of sweating. It was a little chaotic but its normal since its the first day of sale. After an hour, its like the storm has passed. Everything calmed down and yey! we were able to sit to fit some of the shoes.

Sorry for the haggard look. I forgot to bring a hair tie and a towel.
I'm not well prepared. ^^

Boyfriend looking for shoes for our future kids. Hehehe.

Racks and Racks of Shooooessss!

This is what the boyfriend found for me. They were all amazing but the price range were out of my budget. I'm looking for lesser than 1000 since last year a got the red one below for 500 only.

My retiring converse which I bought last December 2010 and now trying the yellow one.

My selection: dr.zeus design (from kids section), yellow, olive green and white basic.

Look who I found! I found NEMO!
Some of the shoes for kids costs only 250 - 300 pesos. I was looking on some of the kids shoes because my feet are small, sometimes I can fit on their biggest size.

Boyfriend found this and he's persuading me to buy it.
It was sad for me but I said no to this baby.

Say hello to my new, kikay na kikay na pink shoes!!!
Weeee... For 950 pesos I got my new converse shoes!
The story behind, I just took this from the other girl beside me who was hoarding a lot of pairs and she didn't notice that I took it. It's size 5 so its meant to be mine!

Pink with sunglasses design, so fasyon! I'll surely wear this out just like my red one.

This is what the boyfriend bought for 2350.
Black leatherette with stars and stripes of embossed flowery design.
Not bad, since it looks good on him and its a rare design.
He was also hesitating to buy it because of the price but when he found the exact size for him, he said it was meant to be. =)

Just a friendly reminder, the line at the cashier can be very long and slow moving. A tip: be friendly! I met a girl who was eyeing on the yellow shoes that I was trying on and I let her try it. When I saw her near the cashier I asked her if she can include our payment and she willingly said yes. Also bring your eco bag, this was a reminder on the tarpaulin at the gate. They won't provide plastic or paper bags, they will just tie the boxes together. The boyfriend luckily brought his Nike ecobag.

I think the sale will last until December 23. So you can still go there and find your chucks!
